I recently listened to the latest Lex Fridman podcast with Tim Urban. It was a fantastic listen, I recommend it.
One of my favourite snippets was when Lex asked Tim about the following tweet.

The tweet seems like a fairly simple remark to encourage others to read small amounts every day. But when Lex asked about this habit of reading, Tim had a very interesting comment.
I always think about the people who achieve these incredible things in life, these great famous legendary people and then (I remember) they have had the same number of days as you do and its not like they were doing magical days…
They just got a little something done every day.
Even Elon Musk who leads four companies all at once — especially two that are making world-changing impacts in Tesla and SpaceX — not only has the same number of days as you do but he manages to sleep 6 hours each night!
It’s easy to think that there’s a bigger gap between you and reputable entrepreneurs/ or executives who may be accomplishing “amazing” things, but there isn’t. Sometimes it takes a wake-up call to realize that you might not be optimizing your days to accomplish what you truly desire.
All it takes is spending a few minutes each day on something new and those micro-events can create exponential growth.
What micro-habit does this prompt you to think about taking on?
For me, it’s to take just 10 minutes to practice copywriting each evening. If you received this in your inbox, let me know what yours is. I’d love to hear it.
Just a quick one for today — will be back with a longer passage this weekend.
Ciao,
